Welcome to Rio Grande!
A GRAND LIFE IMMERSED IN NATURE NEAR EVERYTHING YOU NEED
The Bahia Beach Resort At Rio Grande Municipality.
Río Grande is located in Puerto Rico's northeastern coastal valley, about 30 minutes east of the San Juan and west of Luquillo and Fajardo. Founded in 1840, the municipality is known for its ritzy resorts, championship golf courses and the El Yunque rainforest.
El Yunque National Forest is the largest tropical rain forest in the Caribbean, the only tropical rain forest in the U.S. National Forest System and one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. With an annual rainfall of 120 inches to 240 inches, it’s the rainiest place in Puerto Rico and the rainiest U.S. national forest. The rainfall creates a jungle-like setting of lush vegetation, cliffs, waterfalls and rivers. Hiking trails allow visitors to immerse themselves in the forest's flora and fauna and enjoy breathtaking views.
Río Grande is home to some of the most luxurious hotels in Puerto Rico: the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort, St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort & Golf Club, and Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico. All of them offer peaceful and scenic grounds, exquisite ocean views and first-class accommodations.
The recently constructed and opened Route 66 has made Río Grande more accessible and appealing to home buyers, businesses and travelers. You can live as one with nature only half an hour away from the bustle of San Juan. What's not to love?
